Welcome to First Baptist Mabank! As a follower of Christ and pastor, my passion is to connect people to Christ: for the lost to know Him; for the de-churched to reconnect with Him; for the faithful to grow deeper in their knowledge of Him and service to Him. No matter where one is on life’s journey in relation to God, I want to help you on your faith journey. First Baptist is set up to meet your spiritual needs with multiple worship services and Bible studies. When you attend, please meet me at Visitor’s Center after the morning worship service. Senior Pastor
Pastor Larry has served as the Senior Pastor of FBC Mabank since 2015. He received an Advanced Diploma in Theology (2004) and an Advanced Master of Divinity (2007) from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in FT Worth, TX. Larry married Tracy in 2002 and they have two awesome children, Larry & Linda. He also enjoys spending time with his family, reading, golf & shooting.
Michael Beaty
Music Minister
We are so thankful for Michael! He is an incredible blessing to our congregation and our worship ministry. He does a wonderful job of leading our church to connect deeply with God in worship.
Tim Penney
Youth Minister
Tim and his family joined our team in January of 2021. He holds a BA degree in Youth Ministry as well as a Master of Arts in Youth Ministry, both from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. With a vast array of experience in his 27 years as a youth pastor Tim has served churches in every part of Texas, from Houston to the panhandle. He has a heart to see students reached with the gospel and to see believing students grow deeper as Christ-followers.
Tim and his wife, Glynna, were married in 1998. They have 3 children, Caleb, Joshua, and Sarah.
Lynn Holt
Administrative Assistant
Lynn joined the FBC team in January 2000. Her and her husband, Tracy, serve the church faithfully and are a valuable asset to the administration of the church. If you need any assistance you can reach Lynn in the church office.
